Unique

There has never been and never will be anyone else like you. But that isn't a testament to you. It's a testament to the God who created you. You are unlike anyone who has ever lived. But that uniqueness isn't a virtue. It's a responsibility. Uniqueness is God's gift to you, and uniqueness is your gift to God. You owe it to yourself to be yourself. But more important, you owe it to the One who designed you and destined you.

The fact that there never has been and never will be anyone like you simply means that no one can worship God like you or for you. You were created to worship God in a way that no one else can. How? By living a life that no one else can - your life. You have a unique destiny to fulfill, and no one can take your place. You play an irreplaceable role in God's grand narrative. But fulfilling your true destiny starts with discovering your true identity. And therein lies the challenge. ~From Soul Print

My identity got buried beneath the mistakes I made, the insecurities I had acquired, and the lies I believed.

"You are special, you are unique..." I could never fathom that. I did not feel like it. So, it was hard to believe. But these words really helped me understand that I am unique not because I do something special, but because I was made for a special purpose. They brought understanding and restoration. I do not need to compare myself to anybody or try to be someone else or someone I am not.

"But the hour is coming, and is now here,
when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth,
for the Father is seeking such people to worship him."
~John 4:23

"Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!"
~Psalm 95:6

  1. Thank you so for this post! You are correct, there is no one like me, I am unique. No one has been through what I have (fortunately :) ), but God, and He has used those experiences to make me the person I am today, like it or not. Many times I do not like it, but your post makes me realize that I must look beyond the "small stuff" and see the bigger picture, the bigger plan, if you will, because that is what really matters in the end. Praise God for you and the path that got me to your post! We are not measured by our failures, but what we learn from them and how we incorporate what we have learned. Have a blessed day!
